Born and raised in Ethiopia. I earned my B.A. Degree in Administration & Social Science from Addis Ababa University. I came to the United States in 2001. Living in the United States has provided me with opportunities to grow and develop, both personally and professionally.
 

Through much of my career, I have been directly involved with adults with disabilities. My roles as Program Manager in Adult Day Program, as well as Direct Care staff as a Support Specialist and Special Aide has been particularly rewarding. From these experiences, I have remained sensitive to participants’ unique capabilities. I provide individualized support and collaborate with each participant’s Circle of Support. Every participant is able to determine and achieve his or her personal goals.

 

Throughout my journey, I have developed skills, knowledge, and experiences with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. My vision is to combine my knowledge and experience with my passion, expertise and heartfelt compassion.
